Project Description: BAY AREA RAPID TRANSIT (BART) OPERATIONS CONTROL CENTER MODERNIZATION (OCC) PROJECT: The Modernization of the OCC project will provide upgrades that include CBTC specific infrastructure for Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) training, testing, and to provide new workstation consoles for the rail operators. 3 large LED display screens will provide the necessary improvements to monitor the BART system. A complete remodel of the OCC space with electrical, lighting, mechanical and a new fire suppression system, will modernize this essential facility. The work is located at the BART facility at 800 Oak Street, Oakland, California, 94607. The Engineer’s Estimate for the project is $18.6 million.
