Buhler Commercial is soliciting proposals/quotes from all qualified and certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBE), Other Business Enterprises (OBE), Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Small Business Enterprises (SBE), Local Business Enterprises (LBE), and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE), for the scopes of work required for the subject project located at 310 Nova Albion Way San Rafael, CA 94903

·       Abatement and demolition of office finishes, select walls and doors, and mechanical, plumbing, electrical equipment across most of the first floor.

·       New doors, frames, hardware, and windows across most of the first floor

·       All new finishes across the demolished areas including new gypsum wall/metal framing.

·       New wood framed roof curbs for mechanical equipment

·       New outdoor heat pumps/indoor fan coils with associated wiring and ductwork

·       New indoor lighting and power distribution across the first floor

·       Upgrades to existing fire alarm systems

·       Buhler Commercial is the selected Lease-Leaseback General Contractor

·       Bids submitted past 2:00PM on April 07, 2025 will NOT be accepted.

·       RFI’s must be submitted to Matthew Anderson via Building Connected NO LATER THAN 2PM on Tuesday April 1st, 2025.  Any questions and/or substitution requests submitted via any other means then through Building Connected will not  be accepted.  DO NOT CONTACT THE OWNER, ALL QUESTIONS TO BE SENT TO BUHLER COMMERCIAL THROUGH BUILDING CONNECTED.

·       Buhler Commercial is signatory to the Carpenters and Labors Union

·       This is a prevailing wage project.

·       All subcontractors must be registered with the DIR at time of bid submission.

·       Subcontractor must be properly licensed by California Contractors State License Board to submit a proposal

·       Subcontracts will be awarded on Best Value Criteria outlined in the information for bidders section.

·       When submitting a bid proposal be sure to acknowledge the projects bid documents (drawing, specifications, addenda, etc.)

·       All subcontractors are responsible for their own parking.

·       Subcontractor and its subcontractors are required to comply with CEC 17407.5 and PCC Section 2600 et seq. with respect to a skilled and trained workforce.

·       A Performance Bond and a separate Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Subcontract Sum and executed by a California admitted surety insurer, are required to be furnished by Subcontractor if subcontract amount exceeds $300,000.Buhler Commercial strongly encourages participation from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) in this project. The minimum established DVBE goal for this project is 3%.

·       Job Walk to be held TBD.

·       Any Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Subcontractors (including C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, and C-46) must be prequalified with the district in order to bid this project (you can submit your prequalification to the district within 10 days of the bid opening)

Matthew Anderson(415) 610-8650; matthew.anderson@buhlercommercial.com is the estimator for this project and is available to aid or answer questions regarding the project scope of work, bid requirements, bonding and insurance requirements, or any other questions you may have.  Buhler Commercial will provide any assistance it can in helping interested parties in obtaining bonds, lines of credit, and insurance required. Buhler Commercial is willing to break out any portion of work to encourage MBE/OBE/SBE/WBE/LBE/DVBE participation.  All subcontractors are required to execute Buhler standard subcontract agreement and comply with all insurance requirements.  Buhler Commercial requires subcontractors awarded on this project to provide Payment and Performance Bonds from a surety at the subcontractor’s expense for any contract that exceeds $300,000. Buhler Commercial is signatory to the Carpenters and Labors Union. This is a Prevailing wage project. All subcontractors must be registered with the DIR.
