INVITATION FOR BIDS

Tutor Perini Corp. (TPC) is seeking qualified bidders including, but not limited to, certified DBEs, SBEs & DVBEs, for the following scope of work on RFP No. 0212 Inglewood Transit Connector Project.

Drawings / Specifications / Insurance Requirements (Contractors Controlled Insurance Program) as well as Scope (Bid Package) are available upon request.

TPC is requesting bids for the following trades including but not limited to:  

Survey, Demolition, Reinforcing Steel, Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals, Ornamental Metals, Waterproofing & Damproofing, Insulation, Roofing, Exterior Metal Wall Panels, Fireproofing, Firestopping, Expansion Joints, Doors, Frames & Hardware, Glass & Glazing, Louvers & Vents, Metal Studs & Drywall, Tile & Stone, Acoustical Treatment, Resilient Flooring, Terrazzo, Painting & Coatings, Signage, Elevators & Escalators,  Fire Suppression, Plumbing, Mechanical & HVAC, Clear & Grub, Earthwork, Piling & Caissons, Asphalt Paving, Pavement Markings, Concrete Flatwork, Hardscape, Landscaping & Irrigation, Utilities, Graphic Design and Printing, Marketing, Outreach, Training, Employment Services, Catering Companies, Maintenance Companies, Janitorial Services, Security Companies and other trades to help meet the DBE and small business goals

Project Goals include:  17% DBE

In addition to the request for participation from DBEs, we request non-DBE subcontractors provide lower-tier DBE participation. Quotations must be valid for the same duration as specified by Owner for contract award. Subcontractors are required to possess and maintain a current contractor’s license and must also be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as required by Public Contract Code Section 1725.5. Subcontractors will be required to execute TPC’s Standard Subcontract Terms and Conditions including the insurance requirements.

Assistance to DBE subcontractors and DBE suppliers in obtaining bonding, lines of credit,or other capital financing is also available through the DOT Bond Assistance Program at
(800) 532-1169.

TPC, in its sole and absolute discretion, may reject any and all bids, or accept a bid or combination of bids, if any in its sole and absolute judgement will under all circumstances best serve the project’s interest.  In the event that the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract, TPC reserves the option to accept the bid of the next lowest/qualified Bidder within ten (10) calendar days from such default.
